Private Flute Lessons:
Everything you need to know to grow a budding flute player into a vibrant, thriving Flutist!
Read on . . .

Hey, Flute Students and Parents:
Welcome to MusicSmiths Flute Studio !

I'm glad you're here! Music educators will tell you that private lessons are a sound investment in a child's education. Music study develops skills that apply to all other areas of life. Playing an instrument instills self-discipline, self-motivation, expression, and confidence. Most importantly, music is a collaborative art form -- by its nature, it connects people and builds communities.

Or, put another way . . . private lessons provide the "Miracle-Gro" that spurs a budding flute player to flower into a mature flutist!

Here are just a few of the things you can learn in private lessons:

How to develop a beautiful tone and master breath control on the flute (hint: they're interrelated)

How to add vibrato to your sound

        Fingerings and fingering hacks

A wide variety of musical styles, from classical to jazz to pop

How to play piccolo -- and maybe my alto and bass flutes, too!

When you join my flute studio, you are joining a community of students just like yourself who love playing the flute and finding new friends through their shared interest in music.

Need more info? Scroll down to "Top 5 Reasons for Taking Private Flute Lessons" for more benefits of private flute lessons with me.

I invite you to explore our studio -- read about my teaching philosophy and my own journey as a flutist. Let me walk you through a typical flute lesson. Take a peek at the resources available to MusicSmiths flute students, and choose the lesson option that suits your schedule. I offer something for every student, no matter where they are on their flute journey! Please feel free to contact me with questions. I look forward to hearing from you!

Flutefully,

I received your card and I wanted to say thank you very much! I decided to major in . . . biology on a pre-med track. I will definitely bring my flute to college and play it as much as I can. Thank you for being an amazing flute teacher, and I will keep in touch.
